FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Is it scriptural to borrow money for our building?
While Life Fellowship Church is committed to paying cash for everything possible, we do not believe it is unscriptural to borrow money when it is done with wisdom and responsibility. God told the nation of Israel that He would bless them in a way that they would, “lend and not borrow.” (Deut. 28:12)
If it was wrong to borrow money, God would have never told His people to lend it.
What will the Legacy campaign accomplish financially?
Our goal is to put Life Fellowship Church in a position to immediately begin construction on our expansion project late spring of 2021. The combined cost of the 27,000 sq ft, plus the outdoor amenities, will be approximately $7 million dollars. In addition there will be roughly $1 million dollars of equipment we will need to install. Of this amount, the bank is requiring $3.3 million dollars in three-year commitments, with $2 million dollars down before construction begins. We will use the first $2 million dollars raised from the “Legacy” Vision Campaign to satisfy the bank’s ratios enabling us to break ground.
In addition, we have partnered with Lionheart Christian Academy. Our goal is to see over 300+ children enrolled. Not only will we be able to care for and instill the Word of God into these precious children and families but we expect many of these families to begin attending Life Fellowship.
As we open the new building and realize the anticipated growth of the congregation, we will be in an even stronger position to pay down our debt quickly, thus positioning us for an even brighter future.
How many people will this building allow us to reach?
In a desire to be good stewards of our facility and finances, we have plans to conduct as many as five worship services each weekend. This also meets the needs of our congregation and community, as one time doesn’t always fit all schedules. When we include children teenagers and the Daycare, this will enable us to reach more than 5,000+ people with the message of Jesus every week at Life Fellowship Church.
